1.3.2 Integrating Opposing Arguments

Today’s lesson will be about:

You will be able to:
  • Identify the most commonly used rhetorical appeals in an academic paper.
  • Refine the outline with integrating opposing arguments.
  • Predict and refute potential opposing arguments in an argumentative paper.
  • Apply at least three different persuasive devices/strategies for supporting a claim in an argumentative paper.
